Puerto Colombia, Colombia

Puerto Colombia is a coastal town in the Atlántico Department of northern Colombia, located just 13 kilometers west of Barranquilla. It lies along the Caribbean Sea and is known for its historical significance as a former major port during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
One of its most iconic landmarks was the Puerto Colombia Pier (Muelle de Puerto Colombia), once the longest pier in the world when completed in 1893, stretching over 3,280 feetinto the sea. This pier played a key role in Colombia’s trade and immigration, serving as the main arrival point for goods and passengers entering the country. Puerto Colombia is part of the Barranquilla metropolitan area, and its economy is increasingly focused on tourism and coastal recreation.
