Pterolepis glomerata is a low annual herb native to Florida, the Caribbean, and parts of tropical America. Slender stems spread close to open ground and carry small opposite leaves. Delicate flowers have four pale lavender petals surrounding yellow stamens. The plant grows in sunny, seasonally wet or disturbed sites, completing its life cycle through numerous small seeds.
