Pseudorhipsalis amazonica

An epiphytic cactus native to humid tropical forests from Central America into northern South America, Pseudorhipsalis amazonica grows on trees with flattened or angled pendent stems. Bright pink to purple tubular flowers emerge along the stem margins and open into small flared tips. The trailing habit is adapted to shaded forest canopies. Photographed in Colombia.
