Psammisia ferruginea

Native to Colombia, Ecuador, and Panamá, it is a shrub in the Ericaceae family. Documented elevations extend from about 1,300 to 7,050 feet. It develops branching woody stems and dense foliage, with flowers arranged singly or in inflorescences. Photographed in Colombia.
