Prosthechea fragrans

Prosthechea fragrans is a pseudobulbous epiphytic orchid native from southern Mexico through tropical America. Its narrow leaves rise above compact pseudobulbs, and fragrant flowers have slender ivory sepals and petals surrounding a white lip marked with yellow and purple. The species grows primarily in wet tropical forest. Research-grade observations document it in Colombia, Ecuador, and Panama. Photographed in Colombia.
