Prestoea schultzeana

Prestoea schultzeana is a clustering palm native from southeastern Nicaragua through western South America to central Peru. Several slender stems may arise together beneath crowns of pinnate leaves. The arching inflorescences divide into many fine branches that later support small fruits. The species grows primarily in wet tropical forest. Research-grade observations document it in Ecuador and Peru. Photographed in Colombia.
