Potinara Elaine Taylor 'Krull-Smith'

Potinara Elaine Taylor ‘Krull-Smith’ is a cultivated intergeneric orchid hybrid selected for its large, colorful flowers. Broad pink sepals and petals surround a ruffled deep red lip marked with yellow near the throat. The plant grows from pseudobulbs that store water and nutrients between active growth periods. Each new growth develops from the base of the previous pseudobulb, producing a compact chain of storage organs and leaves. Photographed in Florida.
