Portea 'Jungle Book'

This cultivated perennial bromeliad belongs to the Bromeliaceae family. Its upright leaves combine burgundy and lime-green coloring, and its flowering stalks carry a bright coral display. Larger plants can reach about 32 inches wide and 44 inches tall when flowering. It is grown in containers and tropical landscapes. Photographed in Florida.
