Podandrogyne flammea is a tropical flowering shrub described from the northern Andes of Colombia and Ecuador. Large compound leaves frame rounded terminal clusters of bright orange-red flowers. Each flower carries narrow spreading petals and conspicuously long stamens, producing a radiating form. The species is associated with humid montane vegetation.
