Poa cita
Poa cita is a densely tufted perennial grass native to New Zealand. Numerous narrow, stiff leaves rise from a compact base and may arch outward as the plant matures. Slender flowering stems extend above the foliage and carry branched seed heads. This cool-temperate species grows naturally in open grassland, shrubland, and rocky ground and is valued for its strong architectural form. Photographed in Florida.
