Plumeria rubra

Native to Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras and nearby regions, this is a tree in the Apocynaceae family. Its leaves are thick, leathery, and the plant is known for its free-flowering habit, with showy, fragrant blossoms. The flower color can vary significantly depending on the cultivar​ of which there are many. The plant may have therapeutic utility in cardiovascular disorders​.
