Plumeria cubensis

Plumeria cubensis is a tree native to eastern Cuba. It develops thick branches and leathery green leaves gathered toward the shoot tips. Clusters of fragrant white flowers have broad overlapping petals and warm yellow centers. Its restricted natural range makes it part of the distinctive flora of Cuba, where seasonal dryness shapes leaf retention and flowering. Photographed in Florida.
