Pleroma semidecandrum

Pleroma semidecandrum is a wet-tropical flowering shrub native to southeastern Brazil. Its softly hairy leaves have prominent longitudinal veins, while the open purple flowers carry long curved stamens at their centers. The species has also been cultivated beyond its native range. Research-grade observations attributed to the exact species document it in Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, and Peru. Photographed in Colombia.
