Originating from the subtropical rainforests of Australia it has naturalized in various habitats​. A fast-growing tree recognized for its white, fragrant flowers and conspicuous orange woody fruits. It has shown invasive tendencies in places like French Polynesia, due to its high seedling densities. Photographed in Bogotá, Colombia.
