Pitcairnia trianae

Native to Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, it is a bromeliad in the Bromeliaceae family. Documented elevations extend from about 3,300 to 10,000 feet. Its leaves form a rosette around a central flowering stem bearing flowers. Photographed in Colombia.
