Native to Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, this is a bromeliad in the Bromeliaceae family. One of ninety-five native species of Pitcairnia in Colomiba with a habitad of 4,000 and 10,000 feet. Photographed in the eastern Andes mountain range of Colombia.
