Pitcairnia arcuata

A perennial bromeliad distributed from Costa Rica and Panama through Colombia and Ecuador to Peru, Pitcairnia arcuata grows in wet tropical forests and along humid mountain slopes. Its long tubular flowers emerge from an arching inflorescence and open into narrow, strongly recurved yellow segments with projecting stamens. The broad floral bracts are green to yellow-green. Photographed in the Chocó region of Ecuador.
