Pinus kesiya


Pinus kesiya is a tall evergreen conifer native from northeastern India and southern China through mainland Southeast Asia to the Philippines. Its needles are grouped in bundles of three, and its woody cones mature over more than one growing season. The species forms extensive pine forests in seasonally dry uplands and is also planted for timber and reforestation in tropical highlands. Photographed in Florida.
