Phytolacca rivinoides

Phytolacca rivinoides is a tropical American perennial found in moist clearings, forest edges, and disturbed vegetation. Long slender racemes carry small white flowers on a pink to magenta axis and later produce dark fleshy berries. Birds disperse the seeds after feeding on the fruit. Research-grade observations document the species in Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, and Peru. Photographed in Colombia.
