Phlegmariurus squarrosus

Phlegmariurus squarrosus is a tropical Asian firmoss that grows on trees and other humid substrates. Its branching shoots are densely covered with narrow spreading leaves, creating a soft bottlebrush appearance. Like other clubmoss relatives, it has no flowers or seeds and reproduces through spores. It is cultivated in warm, humid collections for its distinctive arching foliage. Photographed in Florida.
