Perezia multiflora cluster of small white flowers with yellow centers among spiny green bracts

Perezia multiflora

Perezia multiflora is a perennial herb of high Andean grasslands. Its low leafy stems produce clusters of small composite flower heads with white to pale lilac ray florets surrounding yellow centers. The plant is adapted to exposed mountain conditions and occurs within puna and pƔramo vegetation. Research-grade observations document it in both Ecuador and Peru. Photographed in Colombia.
