Peltophorum pterocarpum

Peltophorum pterocarpum is a tropical tree native from Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia through northern Australia. It forms a spreading crown with bipinnate leaves and upright clusters of bright yellow flowers, followed by flat copper-brown pods. The species is widely planted along streets and in parks, and research-grade observations document it in both Colombia and Panama. Photographed in Colombia.
