Peltophorum dubium


Peltophorum dubium is a deciduous or semi-deciduous tree native to tropical and subtropical South America. It develops a broad crown of finely divided leaves and produces large terminal clusters of bright yellow flowers. The flat fruits mature from green to brown. Research-grade observations document the species in Panama, outside its principal native range, where it may occur in cultivation. Photographed in Colombia.
