Pavonia sepium
Native to regions of Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, and Bolivia, Pavonia sepium is a shrub that typically grows between 3 to 6 feet tall, thriving in seasonally dry tropical biomes. It is characterized by its bright yellow, hibiscus-like flowers that bloom profusely, each featuring five petals and a central column of yellow stamens. Photographed in Panama.
