Passiflora trifasciata

Passiflora trifasciata is a wet-tropical liana native from Ecuador to western Bolivia. It is especially notable for its dark leaves marked by broad pinkish bands along the principal veins, a feature that gives the species strong ornamental value even when it is not flowering. The vine climbs with tendrils in warm, humid conditions. Photographed in Colombia.
