Parkinsonia praceox
Native to Argentina Northeast, Argentina Northwest, Argentina South, Bolivia, west-central Brazil, and Colombia and nearby regions, this is a tree in the Fabaceae family. With the arrival of spring, it comes to life, its branches bearing the delicate touch of yellow blooms, often accompanied by a smattering of orange dots, injecting a burst of color into the otherwise barren landscapes. Its leaves make a brief appearance during the rainy season, with the plant relying on its green stems for photosynthesis. Photographed in the department of Santander, Colombia.
