Páramo of Colombia

A Páramo is a unique high-altitude ecosystem found primarily in the northern Andes of South America, including Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. Páramos are typically found at altitudes ranging from 2,800 to 4,500 meters above sea level. Páramos receive high levels of precipitation, mostly in the form of rain but also as snow at higher elevations. They are often characterized by persistent cloud cover and mist. A must place to visit for a nature lover.
