Paphiopedilum Clair de Lune 'Edgard van Belle' has a cream slipper orchid with golden pouch

Paphiopedilum Clair de Lune 'Edgard van Belle'

Developed in cultivation, this perennial hybrid slipper orchid belongs to the Clair de Lune grex, a cross between Emerald and Alma Gevaert. Its pale flower has a broad, striped upper sepal above a cream to yellow-green pouch. The name Clair de Lune means moonlight. Plants grow as compact fans of leathery leaves and produce new fans alongside older growths. This named selection is maintained through vegetative propagation. Photographed in Florida.
