Palicourea angustifolia

Native to Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panamá, Peru, and Venezuela, it is a shrub in the Rubiaceae family. Documented elevations extend from about 1,650 to 11,800 feet. It develops branching woody stems and dense foliage, with purple flowers arranged singly or in inflorescences. Photographed in Antioquia, Colombia.
