Oxalis debilis
Native to South America, this bulb-forming perennial herb grows in humid habitats. Its flowers have five rounded pink petals surrounding a pale throat. Underground bulbs allow the plant to persist and spread vegetatively. The species belongs to Oxalidaceae and has flowers with different arrangements of style and stamen lengths, which can help promote cross-pollination. It has become naturalized in New Zealand. Photographed in Colombia.
