Orthrosanthus chimboracensis

Native to Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, southeastern Mexico, and Panamá and nearby regions, this is an herbaceous plant in the Iridaceae family. One of three native Colombian species of the genus Orthrosanthus with a habitat between 7,000 and 13,200 feet. Photographed in the eastern Andes mountain range of Colombia.
