Oncostele Wildcat 'Green Valley'

Of cultivated intergeneric hybrid origin, this orchid belongs to the Oncidium alliance. Its branching flower stalks carry numerous blossoms with yellow segments heavily marked by dark reddish-brown patches. Broad pale lips provide a contrasting central feature. Wildcat is an orchid grex formerly classified under Colmanara; this cultivar is ‘Green Valley’. The plant grows from a succession of pseudobulbs. Photographed in Florida.
