Oncostele Catatante 'Orange Kiss'

Developed in cultivation, this perennial hybrid orchid comes from a cross between Oncidium Sphacetante and Oncostele Wildcat. Its branching flower sprays carry orange to bronze flowers with contrasting yellow lips. Like many orchids in the Oncidium alliance, it grows from pseudobulbs that store water. The flowers are about one and a half inches across and can last a month or more. Photographed in Florida.
