Oncidium baueri
Native to tropical South America, this perennial epiphytic orchid grows on trees in humid forests. Mature plants form clumps of compressed pseudobulbs, with leaves at their tips and flower stems emerging from their bases. Its branching sprays carry numerous yellow flowers marked with brown. Each flower has a conspicuous three-lobed lip and a raised central callus. Photographed in Colombia.
