Oncidium Aloha Iwanaga

Developed in cultivation, this perennial hybrid orchid comes from a cross between Goldiana and Star Wars. Branching sprays carry many yellow flowers with contrasting brown markings and broad, skirt-like lips. It grows in a succession of flattened pseudobulbs rather than from a single permanent stem. Its yellow-flowered ancestry also contributes to other popular hybrids, including Sweet Sugar. Photographed in Florida.
