Odonellia hirtiflora

Native from Mexico through tropical South America, this climbing perennial belongs to the morning glory family. White funnel-shaped flowers open from dense clusters surrounded by hairy bracts. Usually only one or two blossoms open within a cluster at a time. Its twining stems occur in seasonally dry tropical habitats, and in Colombia it grows between about 100 and 2,500 feet. Photographed in Colombia.
