The White Egyptian Lotus, native to Eastern Africa and Southeast Asia. Presently, its cultivation as an ornamental aquatic plant is popular. Apart from its ornamental allure, it holds a revered position in Ayurvedic medicine. Known to possess soothing, astringent, diuretic, and tranquillizing effects, it also carries a reputation as a detoxicant and aphrodisiac.
