Native to Bahamas, Florida, Louisiana, central Mexico, Mexico Gulf, and northeastern Mexico and nearby regions, this is an herbaceous plant in the Nymphaeaceae family. It grows below 7,000 feet. An aquatic plant photographed in the department of Bolivar, Colombia.
