Nepeta racemosa
Native to eastern Turkey, the Caucasus and northwestern Iran, this herbaceous perennial forms low clumps about 8 to 20 inches tall. Its aromatic leaves and violet-blue, two-lipped flowers make it popular in borders and pollinator gardens. It tolerates dry conditions. It can be propagated by division or softwood cuttings. Photographed in Florida.
