Nariño is located in the southwestern part of Colombia bordering Ecuador to the south and the Pacific coast to the west. It does not attract many visitor but has a lot of natural beauty and worth a visit. It has high-altitude areas, such as the capital city of Pasto and volcanic landscapes, including the imposing Galeras and Azufral volcanoes. The western part of Nariño, along the Pacific Ocean, experiences a tropical climate with high humidity and significant rainfall. This area is rich in biodiversity and features dense rainforests and mangroves.
