A small fruit tree originating from Southeast Asia and Australasia. The medical attributes of Indian mulberry are traditionally used as a medicinal herb in Polynesia, the plant has been found to have a broad range of therapeutic effects including anti-diabetic properties​, antimicrobial, antiseptic, antifungal, and analgesic activities, among others​​. Widely adapted to a range of tropical and subtropical climates. The greenish-yellow distasteful fruit is called noni in Colombia. Photographed in Barranquilla, Colombia.
