Miconia goniostigma
Native from Panama to Ecuador, this woody plant grows as a shrub, sometimes clambering through neighbouring vegetation or occurring as a hemiepiphyte. Plants reach about three to twenty feet tall. Small flowers and rounded buds occur in branching clusters. In Colombia, it grows in the Andean and Pacific regions from near sea level to about 7,700 feet. Photographed in Colombia.
