Yellow Maxillaria luteo-alba flowers have long curling sepals and white and dark purple centres

Maxillaria luteo-alba

Native to Colombia, Venezuela, and Ecuador, this orchid grows as an epiphyte in wet tropical habitats. Its clustered, flattened pseudobulbs produce solitary flowers with unusually long, narrow sepals. These are yellow toward their tips and white at the base, while the shorter petals have purple colouring. Photographed in Colombia.
