Mandevilla boliviensis and garden hybrids


Native from Costa Rica to Bolivia, this tropical climbing plant belongs to the dogbane family. The species produces white trumpet-shaped flowers with a yellow throat and glossy green leaves. It is cultivated as an ornamental vine and has contributed to white-flowered garden hybrids. Photographed in Colombia.
