A vine native to a stretch of tropical America from Costa Rica to Bolivia and Brazil, with large, white, trumpet-shaped flowers with orange-yellow throats​. It has earned the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit​. There are many hybrid cultivars in red and pink. Photographed in the Colombia and Florida.
