Brassica oleracea Nagoya Rose (Ornamental Kale)
This ornamental biennial herb is usually grown as a cool-season annual for its richly colored, fringed leaves. The compact plants form uniform upright rosettes and are used as cool-season bedding plants or in mixed containers. Their highly ruffled foliage gives a decorative display through autumn and winter, often alongside pansies and violas. The plants generally remain around eight to twelve inches tall. Photographed in Florida.
