Kalanchoe fedtschenkoi (Lavender Scallops)
Native to Madagascar, lavender scallops is a low-growing succulent with branching stems that can root where they touch the ground. Fleshy, rounded leaves have waxy blue-green surfaces, wedge-shaped bases, and large rounded scallops along their margins. Leaf edges may develop reddish tones. Branched terminal clusters carry hanging bell-shaped flowers in orange to pinkish orange shades. This compact ornamental is grown in containers and dry gardens, where free-draining soil helps protect its roots. The plant can be propagated readily from leaves or stem cuttings. Photographed in Colombia.
