Juniperus chinensis Gold Lace (Gold Lace Juniper)

An ornamental selection of Chinese juniper, this evergreen conifer forms a low, spreading shrub about 3 to 4 feet tall and 5 to 6 feet wide, with bright golden yellow foliage and fine, lacy branching. Its foliage remains colorful through the seasons, with brighter gold in sunny positions and greener tones where shaded. The cultivar is used as ground cover, in rock gardens, on banks and slopes, or as an accent among blue and green conifers. Established plants tolerate periods of dry weather. Photographed in Florida.
