Hypoestes phyllostachya

Native to Madagascar, this is an herbaceous plant in the Acanthaceae family. Originating in South Africa and an ornamental with cultivars. Gained the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit. Photographed in Armenia, Colombia.
