Heptapleurum arboricola

A bush native to Taiwan and Hainan in China that has naturalized in the tropics. Its flowers are small and hermaphroditic, ranging from yellow to green, and are produced in panicles​​. The plant bears inedible fruits that mature from orange to red-violet​. The species has numerous cultivars, often with variegated leaves​. This plant has received recognition through the 'Gold Capella' cultivar, awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit​​. Photographed in Barranquilla, Colombia.
